Free Small Business Event for Veterans

In celebration of the National Veterans Small Business Week, the Kansas City office of the Small Business Administration (SBA) will host a free event Wednesday, Nov. 6.

If you are a veteran or a spouse of a veteran interested in starting or growing a business, this is a MUST attend event!

Participants will learn about various programs and assistance that are available to veterans and their spouses through the SBA and its resource partners. Topics will include entrepreneurial development, access to capital, government contracting, small business certifications, and disaster recovery.

The first half of the event will be a presentation from the SBA. The second half is a panel discussion with representatives from Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC), Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), SBDC, a Small Business Lending Institution, Mid-Continent Public Library and a veteran small business owner.

The event will from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at iWerx Gladstone, 7001 North Locust Street, Gladstone, Mo., 64118.

• 10:00 – 10:45 (SBA presentation)

• 10:45 – 11:15 (Panel Discussion)

• 11:15 – 11:30 (Questions and Answers)
